Welcome to RU2025
It’s been a while, hasn’t it?
This year has definitely started off on a more personal note for me. From getting through semester one exams (sorry I didn’t help you out more) to settling into a new year, it’s safe to say I’ve been a little overwhelmed with everything going on. I really want to be more intentional with what I do with RU this year, and also my own personal content beyond the blog. Success in something isn’t a thing you gain overnight, but rather something you have to spend endless amounts of time working towards and, if I’m being completely honest, there’s a lot more for me to put into this blog (and so many things I cannot wait to do this year) before I think it’ll see even an ounce of success. And that’s okay with me.
I didn’t create this space with the intention of trying to be ‘successful’ but rather, trying to reach and help as many people as I possibly can. That remains my goal, but what’s changing is my approach. So, RU is going to start looking a little different this year. Not the aesthetic (I love the website it’s so pretty), but rather the type of content you’ll be seeing. I’ll be pushing out a lot more and a wider variety of content and (attempting) to expand beyond just the blog in an effort to reach more of you wonderful humans. This year is about being brave and truly committing to giving something my all and seeing what happens. Have I been terrified of being judged since I was a kid? Absolutely. Have I let it stop me in the past? 100%. But am I going to anymore? No.
This year, you’ll be seeing so much more (and better in my opinion) content from me, and also from other people that I’ll be dragging on here to share their wisdom with the world. Odds are, you’ll also see more of me elsewhere as I work to build this blog into something that I can truly say I’ve poured my heart and soul into. From posting the recipes (with photos!) that I love, to putting much more members exclusive content up (including sharing more in The Personal Column), there is so SO much in stall for this year, and I for one, cannot wait to give it all to you.
There’s a delicate balance for me to find between my university studies and this little world I’ve created for myself (that’s hopefully going to get a little bigger this year), but I’ll be sure to find it this year (and make sure to let you know how - should you want to create a little world of your own).
If you have any opinions at all (and I mean anything you want to see, things you don’t care about or anything else) please head over to our contact page and get in touch. This is the one and only open call for all opinions and I’m hopeful that I’ll be able to put some of them into practice throughout the coming year.
So, what’s coming?
Naturally, if you’re as remotely curious as I am, you’re wondering what’s happening next and for the rest of the year. We’ll be maintaining our Tuesday posting schedule for regular articles and concretely adding in Thursdays for member articles. In addition, we’re also going to be expanding our article range to include more dedicated areas of the blog to different types of posts (think recipes, minis, TPC, etc.) in an effort to ensure that we’re including all that we can. Also, our newsletter schedule might be shifting a little bit, but we’ll be sure to still send out the weekly general newsletter (open to public opinion on what day you want this!) and our members exclusive newsletter as well.
Join us next Tuesday!
Next Tuesday marks the first official release of the year and I certainly still have a lot to do before then! In (kind of) new year fashion, next week’s general article will be based around lessons I learnt from 2024 (and January because it lasted forever) and how I’ll be applying them to my life this year. On top of that, next Thursday’s members article will be 10 mistakes I made in January, and how I’m changing my approach to avoid making them again for the rest of the year.
I do hope you’re as excited as I am for this fresh new year of content and all the promise it holds - we’ll see you next week and, as always, keep refining.
Mia
