REFINED UNI IS THE BRAIN CHILD OF A GIRL WHO WISHED SHE HAD AN OLDER SIBLING FOR ADVICE.
After years spent tossing up various ideas and running through several iterations and failed launches of similar products, Mia successfully founded and launched refined uni in September of 2024 (just in time for the new university year to begin). Born from a wish that she had an older sibling to give her university advice, Mia founded Refined Uni to create a space for both aspiring and current university students to gain access to ideas and knowledge from a fellow student with the hope that this advice could help place other students in a more comfortable position than Mia was in when she began university.
We’re proud to provide insights for aspiring university students including information about various universities across the UK, application processes through UCAS, general advice and more. You also gain exclusive access to advice from a current university student (something Mia wishes she had before beginning university) about all aspects of university life including academics, socialising, staying fit & healthy and more. ABOUT OUR FOUNDER
Born in Sydney, Australia before moving to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia at the age of 15, Mia has moved countries twice in her life (which is more than enough for her) and now permanently lives in England.
As a child she aspired to be a doctor but then realised that the stress of a career in medicine was not something she wanted to subject herself to, so stuck to the science and ventured into studying Biomedical Science at university instead, where she is currently in her second year of study.
